Body discovered at disused Scots quarry as cops launch probe

A body has been found at a disused Scots quarry.

Officers were called to the scene at Torphin Quarry in Edinburgh on Sunday, November 6. A body was then discovered at the site on Torphin Road.

The age or gender of the person who passed away is not known at this time. Cops have now launched a probe into the incident.

Police are treating the find as unexplained (Daily Record)

Police Scotland say their enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the force said : “At 12.50am on Sunday, 6 November, 2022 we received a report that a body had been discovered a disused quarry in Torphin Road, Edinburgh.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”
