Bodies of man and woman discovered Glasgow home as police launch probe

Police have launched a probe after the bodies of a man and woman have been discovered at a house in Glasgow.

Cops were alerted following a report of concerns for a person at an address Merkland Street in the west end of Glasgow in Partick on Wednesday morning (February 15).

A 60-year-old man and 65-year-old woman were found dead inside the property. Police say their deaths are being treated as "unexplained", but there are no suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received a report of concern for a person at a property in the Merkland Street area of Glasgow around 9.50am on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

"Officers attended and a 60-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were found dead within the property.

"The deaths are being treated as unexplained but there are no suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
