Bob Dylan is bringing his medley of hits to UK soil as part of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour.
The legendary singer-songwriter has announced a UK headline tour for later this year – including a trio of shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London – but has also warned fans to adhere to some rules.
The star will play 10 gigs kicking off in November, with his first performance at BIC Windsor Hall in Bournemouth.
But he has warned his fans it will be a strictly phone-free zone.
Dylan recently announced The 1974 Live Recordings, an extensive new boxset featuring previously unreleased live performances and newly mixed recordings.
While last month, he kicked off the Outlaw Music Festival, which is only touring the US and also features big names like Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp.
Here is all we know about the UK gig and how you can be part of it.
When is the tour happening?
Bob Dylan will play 10 dates on his tour in the UK.
He will kick off proceedings in Bournemouth on November 1 and from there, Dylan will head to Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on November 3, then Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on November 5 and 6.
He will then play Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on November 8 and Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall on November 9 and 10 before finishing in London.
He will play the historic Royal Albert Hall in London for three concerts on November 12, 13, and 14.
Why has he banned phones?
Bob Dylan wants everyone to be in the moment and this is not the first time he has banned phones at his gigs.
The forthcoming tour is in partnership with Yondr – which will prohibit the use of video cameras and mobile phones at the shows, making the occasion even more unique. Dylan’s previous UK dates in 2022 were also “non-phone events”.
What time will he be on stage and what will he sing?
There has been no set list released or leaked as yet, but fans will be hoping to hear a whole host of his best-known hits including Mr Tambourine Man and Just Like a Woman.
What we do know is the timings of gigs. Dylan is set to appear on stage at 7.30pm for each show except the London gigs, when he will begin at around 8pm.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets go on general sale at 9am and 10am tomorrow (Friday July 19), depending on where you are hoping to see him. you’ll be able to buy yours here from Ticketmaster.
There are no pre-sales and all tickets will go on general sale.
Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult and fans will be able to order a maximum of six tickets per person.
Ticketmaster has not released the prices yet but say Dylan is “possibly the greatest songwriter of all time.
