Somehow, we are blessed to still have legendary Boston Celtics floor general Bob Cousy still with us as he dives further into his ninth decade revolving around the sun. And in those nine decades, few members of the wider Celtics constellation of alumni were a closer teammate or friend of Hall of Fame big man Bill Russell over the decades, save perhaps iconic team president Red Auerbach (rest in peace!).
To help memorialize his legendary friend who left us on July 31st this summer, Cousy sat down with WBZ Boston’s Chris Tanako to talk all things Russell for a recent clip hosted on the station’s official YouTube channel.
