Phuket is back in the limelight and on the world stage after three years during the "2023 Thailand International Boat Show", which will take place at Royal Phuket Marina from Jan 12-15.
Phuket is the yachting playground of Southeast Asia and at the heart of the region's burgeoning superyacht scene. With four world-class marinas and a superyacht marina in planning, it is where owners from Hong Kong and Singapore choose to keep their boats and fly in to use them. It's also where people from all corners of the globe fly into charter and cruise.
The four-day boat show aims to bring the industry together and showcase the best brands and products from the marine and lifestyle sectors to a global audience while re-cementing Phuket and Thailand's position as one of the top boating destinations in the world.
Held with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the event will highlight the unique combination of onshore lifestyle opportunities and on-water boating opportunities that abound on and around Phuket.
Up to 50 yachts of all sizes ranging from dinghies and day trippers up to superyachts will be displayed.
There will be an in-the-water and an onshore pavilion with a luxury hub and marine products and services while an onshore social programme will include a bustling dining scene featuring pop-up restaurants and food outlets on Royal Phuket Marina's boardwalk.
Highlights include family activities on Children's Day from 2.30-5.30pm; a first-of-its-kind charity gala dinner (open for advanced guest booking) at the InterContinental Phuket Resort on Jan 14 at 7.30pm; and live jazz on Jan 15 at 2pm.
The events will be running daily from 1-11pm.
