A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering his mother at their Adelaide Hills home.
Bo Sebastian De-Simone was arrested last April at the Crafers West home he had been sharing with his 62-year-old mother Linda Simon.
Police found Ms Simon's body in a shed at the rear of the property during a welfare check.
Appearing via video link in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, the 37-year-old pleaded not guilty to murdering his mother.
The court heard the alleged murder occurred sometime between March 22 and April 2 last year.
Mr De-Simone's lawyer Chris Weir had called for today's hearing to be adjourned until Ms Simon's autopsy report was made available to the court.
Mr Weir told the court that certain details in the report would be of "significance" and were needed before his client could enter a plea.
"The number of injuries sustained … about three in total to the head region," Mr Weir said.
"There is also a chance to be conscious of potential reduced psychosis."
"I would like to have a look at the post-mortem report prior to being committed."
The court heard police prosecutors could not provide a definitive date for when that autopsy report would be complete but they hoped it would be available in four weeks.
However, Magistrate John Wells questioned the need for an adjournment and ordered Mr De-Simone to answer the charge.
"I'm just not across that submission, in terms of how the autopsy report is going to be relevant for a case to answer at this point," he said.
Previously, police had not provided details about when Ms Simon died, any injuries she suffered, or any weapons involved.
She spoke at a rally against COVID-19 vaccine mandates, boosters and giving the jabs to children on the day of the South Australian state election last March.
She told the crowd she had led a team distributing 225,000 flyers on the issue.
Mr De-Simone was remanded in custody and will appear in Adelaide's Supreme Court in May.
