One of the top quarterback prospects for the 2024 NFL draft was in action early on the final regular-season weekend. Oregon QB Bo Nix led the Ducks to a big 31-7 win over archrival Oregon State on Friday night.
The game was more of the same for Nix, currently my No. 4 QB in the rankings (update publishing soon). The senior completed 33 of his 40 passes for 367 yards with two TDs while also running for 31 yards and another touchdown. Nix finishes the regular season completing 78.5 percent of his 401 passing attempts, with just two interceptions against 37 touchdowns.
Nix showed off great decision-making and excellent touch and accuracy on throws from the pocket against the Beavers. It’s what has become the norm for Nix in his two seasons at Oregon after a star-crossed two years at Auburn. His ability to hold the coverage with his eyes and footwork and then deliver strikes to all levels of the field are hallmarks.
The Ducks will play in the PAC-12 championship and, if they win that game, perhaps the CFB playoffs, so Nix still has at least one more chance to cement himself as a high-end prospect.
