Bo Nix knows Broncos’ roster is about to change

After going 10-7 and making the NFL playoffs in 2024, the Denver Broncos will look to take another step forward in 2025. In order to take that next step, changes will be made across the roster.

Following his first season in the NFL, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was asked about his emotions following a promising rookie year, and how he views the team’s outlook going forward.

“Unfortunately and fortunately, I’ve played on a lot of teams that’s seasons have ended,” Nix said on Jan. 13. “You know all good things come to an end. This has been a good run. [We] started where we were, and to be where we are now, play an extra week of football, an opportunity to play in the playoffs, it’s exciting and it’s an exciting time to be in Denver right now.

“[I] love this team [and] will always appreciate what they did for me as a rookie coming in and learning the NFL. It was an honor to play with those guys each week. As I also understand, teams change. Sometimes you don’t have the same team the next year. We have great guys in the locker room. [I] really enjoyed being around them. It’s been a great rookie year.”

Denver has 19 players scheduled to become free agents in March, and not all of them will be re-signed. The Broncos will also add outside free agents and select new rookies during the NFL draft in April. The roster that Nix played with his rookie season will never be the same.
