A BMW driver has been killed in a crash on the M25 near Orpington, Kent Police said.
A silver BMW Z4 was being driven towards Sevenoaks on the clockwise carriageway between Junctions 3 and 4 at around 9.55pm on Friday when it left the motorway.
The vehicle left the busy road on the nearside before returning to stop on the carriageway.
The car was then involved in a collision with a blue Nissan Note that had been travelling in the same direction.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where the driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, was confirmed to have died.
Kent Police said his next of kin has been informed.
The force is now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the fatal collision.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway and anyone who saw what happened or who may have dashcam footage of the vehicles prior to the crash has been asked to contact Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
