A BMW driver has allegedly been caught driving 51mph over the speed limit with an unrestrained child.
Road police were checking the speed of vehicles travelling on Barrhead Road over the weekend.
They clocked the driver travelling at 91mph in the 40mph zone.
Once officers stopped the car, they found the driver to have a child in the car without appropriate restraint.
The driver has since been charged and reported.
It comes after the Glasgow Times reported that road police were overtaken by a Ford Fiesta driving at over 100mph on the M74.
Cops were in an unmarked vehicle pacing another car when they clocked the motorist.
