There will be a mixture of rain, wind and sunny spells today but blustery conditions will dominate most of the day.
This morning will see a heavy band of rain across the region but it will clear in the afternoon. According to forecasters, blustery conditions will then take over with some potential for thunder.
For those living on the coast, there is also a risk of gales along the coast into the evening. Temperatures will hit a maximum of 11C, dropping to 2C in the night.

On Thursday, there will be the odd shower in the morning , with heavy showers following into the afternoon. From Friday to Sunday, the Met Office says winds will ease and showers die out by Friday afternoon, with it feeling pleasant in the sunshine.
There will be heavy rain and strong winds on Saturday with bright and breezy conditions on Sunday.
The BBC outlook for over the weekend, reads: "Friday is expected to see a few showers in places early, but these soon clear leaving plenty of sunshine. Saturday will see cloud build in from the west, with a band of rain pushing in during the afternoon and evening.
"A windy day. Sunday will see early rain taper off to the northwest leaving a few late brighter spells."
