Bluestone beats Center Parcs in list of the best holiday parks in the UK by Which? magazine

Holiday parks in the UK are great places to enjoy a staycation without the stresses of navigating airport delays or ferry queues - and, of course, they provide everything right on your doorstep. From those in idyllic locations to parks with every activity that the children will enjoy, there are some great ones in Wales and the rest of the UK.

Now consumer research giant Which? - which rates everything from washing up liquid to cars - has named Bluestone in Pembrokeshire as one of the best holiday parks in the UK, beating industry giants Center Parcs and Pontins, which came bottom of the list. Bluestone was named fourth best in a list of 19, while Center Parcs was 12th.

In last place, Pontins, which has a site in Prestatyn, scored just two stars for cleanliness, entertainment, and value for money. Both Pontins and Center Parcs have declined to comment. You can read the 17 holiday parks in Wales for the perfect family getaway here.

The Bluestone holiday park is a 500-acre resort in Pembrokeshire and there are plenty of activities to enjoy on-site. From the Blue Lagoon Water Park to climbing up the Power Tower, to water sports, including kayaking and paddleboarding to go-kart racing, and much more, it is easy to see why Bluestones has been rated four stars out of five for facilities and entertainment by Which?

There is a wide range of accommodation at Bluestone, including studio apartments, lodges, and cottages. The largest accommodation sleeps up to 12 people and the smallest two people, meaning the park is perfect for any sized group visiting. Center Parcs was only rated three stars for entertainment and only two stars for value for money, costing £71 per night compared to Bluestones £50 per night. Topping the list was Potters Resorts on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, scoring five out of five stars in every category.

Other holiday parks with Welsh locations that scored highly include Aria Resorts, which took third place and has two holiiday parks in north Wales, and John Fowler Holiday Parks, with a holiday park in Gower and Cardigan Bay, which came sixth.
