The best restaurant in Leeds has been named as part of a prestigious UK awards contest.
The fourth annual British Restaurant Awards 2022 set out to find the UK’s very best eateries, chefs and venues. The British Restaurant Awards is organised annually by WRAG - World Restaurant Awards.
We’d previously told you 28 Yorkshire venues received nominations in the national contest. There was a category dedicated to finding the best restaurant in Leeds.

Blue Sakura, based at the Merrion Centre, has taken the crown in that category. The team has taken to social media to toast their success.
On Facebook, they posted: “A massive thanks to all our lovely customers for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Blue Sakura soon.”
Customers have been quick to pass on their congratulations. Samantha Bamling said: “Well done again, but there was no doubt you would win.” Michael Shaw added: “Well done again, but there was no doubt you would win.”
Other winners from Yorkshire included Neon Fish, in Sheffield, and Café J’adore, in Bradford. If you’d like to see the full list of victors you can here.
