Forensic officers were called to investigate suspected blood on a pavement in Liverpool city centre.
Merseyside Police were called to Seel Street, just off Concert Square this afternoon following reports of blood being found.
Once at the scene officers found a red mark on the edge of the pavement, spreading onto the road.

A scientific support van and police car attended the scene to inspect the suspected blood.
Four officers were pictured using touch and wearing gloves as they examined the pavement.
After running tests and making enquiries Merseyside Police confirmed the red liquid was not blood.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We had a call about possible blood on a pavement.
"Enquiries have been carried out and it’s not blood."
