Almost without fail, I’m able to post some sort of article detailing upcoming leaked skins from whatever new Overwatch event is about to take place. But thanks to Blizzard nipping this problem in the bud, they’ve finally managed to get a hold on leaks by simply revealing almost everything themselves.
The event this year is Overwatch: Archives – Retribution, which starts today, has 100 new items, with a number of them being new Legendary skins to collect. Like last year’s Overwatch: Uprising event, this flashes back to a pivotal moment in Overwatch history, this time a failed Blackwatch mission in Venice, trying to take down a Talon-linked mobster named Antonio (who will probably not be a new playable hero, but who knows).
Last year we got a lot of “original” Overwatch costumes for characters, but now we’re split between a lot of Blackwatch and Talon uniforms, with a few random ones thrown in for good measure.
Blizzard has previewed almost all of these so far, and while a couple probably remain under wraps, they’ve shown off a good chunk of what to expect today. Here are the previewed skins, and I’ll update this with a full list later, once the event is live:

Talon Doomfist
Pajama Mei
Specimen 28 Winston
Scion Hanzo
Talon Sombra
And I think that we’re getting a “Soldier: 24” Reaper, which was glimpsed in the trailer for the event. My favorite of all of these is Scion Hanzo, but to use that…requires playing Hanzo, so there’s that. In terms of skins I’d actually use, that would probably be Blackwatch Moira. I like her beret, I don’t care what everyone says.
Again, I think there are a few skins that Blizzard is keeping under wraps, but I like this idea of previewing a bunch of skins in an effort to combat leaks.
Here’s the trailer for the event one more time in case you missed it the first time. The centerpiece is going to be the failed Blackwatch mission, and I really love the PvE content Blizzard makes for Overwatch, so I’ve definitely been looking forward to this.
