The past several months have been exceptionally turbulent at Blizzard Entertainment, but the studio is still working on new games. One of which being a mobile title in the Warcraft series.
Activision Blizzard shared its 2021 fourth-quarter financial results report for investors on Thursday, with a section detailing what Blizzard is working on this year. One particular note regarding Warcraft’s future was quite illuminating.
“Blizzard is planning substantial new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022, including new experiences in World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, and getting all-new mobile Warcraft content into players’ hands for the first time,” reads the report.
There’s no word on what that ‘content’ could be, as many imaginations are running wild over the thought of a brand-new Warcraft title. Of course, it could just be a port of an existing game, which didn’t pan out well when Blizzard announced Diablo: Immortal in 2018. With how good mobile games on iOS and Android are these days, fans should keep an open mind.
It's time to infiltrate Black Temple and climb Mount Hyjal.

Blizzard also let everyone know the studio is working on a survival title set in an original universe. It seems as though the company being bought by Microsoft didn’t slow down the workflow any.
