Blink-182 fans have flocked to social media to slam Travis Barker being labelled as just Kourtney Kardashian's husband, arguing he was famous before their marriage.
The 46-year-old is a drummer for the American rock band, with many Twitter users sharing their despair at the way he has been reported since his marriage to Kourtney and should instead be described in regards to his musical talents.
It comes as Travis was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last week suffering from 'life threatening' pancreatitis, with Kourtney staying by his hospital bedside in the days that followed.
Taking to Twitter, Blink 182 fans hit out at Travis being labelled Kourtney's husband, with one writing: "It’s Travis Barker, not Kourtney Kardashian’s husband. His name can stand on its own, and if you don’t know that - you shouldn’t be reporting it."
Another wrote: "Such a shame to see Travis Barker just be referred to as "Kourtney Kardashian's Husband". The man is one of the greatest drummers to have lived. Jesus Christ."
A third fan tweeted: "Every time I see “Travis Barker, husband of Kourtney Kardashian” I die a little inside."
One fan tweeted: "Travis Barker is one of the most talented and prolific drummers of a generation. Hurts to see him referred to simply as Kourtney Kardashian's husband."
Another said: "Please not refer to him as Kourtney Kardashian's husband, Travis Barker? Pretty sure he's made quite a name for himself on his own."
On Saturday (July 2), Travis took to Instagram to explain his dash to hospital.
The drummer wrote: "I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.
"During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.
"This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis."
He added: "I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better."
Travis and Kourtney enjoyed a whirlwind romance before he proposed to the reality TV star back in October.
The pair had a wedding in Las Vegas - which wasn't a legal ceremony - after the 64th Grammy Awards on April 6. It was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator at the One Love Chapel in Nevada.
They later had a lavish ceremony at the Dolce & Gabbana estate in Portofino, Italy on May 22.
