Bling East Lothian double decker party bus with cinema and comfy sofas for sale

A converted double decker bus set up with its own private cinema has hit the market in East Lothian.

The listing of the classic bright red double decker bus hit Facebook Marketplace in Dunbar, just outside of the capital. The vehicle, unfortunately, will have to remain on site but it still has a lot of potential as a charmingly unique venue for screenings.

The upstairs acts as an improvised cinema and the downstairs featuring a more relaxed living space. Outside, a fenced off area contains benches and tables to enjoy a drink and host people in the sun.

The bus is up for sale for £5,000. It’s found at the Strawberry Barn, a unique café, venue and farm shop just outside of Edinburgh.

Inside the bus, the downstairs floor is lined with wooden panels and shelves, and adorned with chesterfield sofas and armchairs. Upstairs, the curtains can be drawn to block out the light and allow for a more authentic cinema experience.

The upstairs cinema has carpeted floors, and chairs that can sit 16 people to watch a film at once. Some of the seats also have small tables in front of them to store snacks and drinks, or perhaps to put your feet up.

Posting on Facebook Marketplace, the seller said: “Available to buy is a double decker bus which is set up to show films/screenings/host private parties. Upstairs is the cinema, with 16 seating capacity. Downstairs is a social area with seating.

“The bus is located at The Strawberry Barn, Dunbar. There is an agreement with the owner of The Strawberry Barn to keep it on his site. There is huge potential to include this in weddings/social events as part of a package.”
