Police have launched a probe after a blind woman was set upon by a group of girls on a Scots train.
The 60-year-old was followed by the group who yelled abuse at her until she got off the service between Balloch and Airdrie. The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Monday, July 25 and the British Transport Police are appealing for information as they hunt for those responsible.
Officers said the blind woman was assaulted by the group on the train as it was travelling between Dumbarton Central and Drumry, in West Dunbartonshire. The force said she was then followed by the group who continued hurling abuse at her as she left the train.
