Blind mum visits Edinburgh Zoo and ends up 'in tears' after incredible encounter

A TikTok video has captured the hearts of thousands after a blind woman recalled her first experience at Edinburgh Zoo.

User @canseecantsee, who has racked up over 170,000 followers on the popular social media site uploaded the video yesterday, April 24, saying that her daughter took her to Edinburgh Zoo and even though she has lost most of her sight, she could roughly make out one of the panda's ears.

The ordeal resulted in the woman in tears, as in life, it's sometimes the little things that count the most to people.

The woman, who's real name is Claire Sisk, started off the video by saying: "I've literally had the best day at Edinburgh Zoo today."

She continued, "I went to see the panda bears, that's why my daughter brought me out here because she knows how much I love them and I could make out where his ear was on his head and it made me cry."

Claire also has been a revelation on TikTok, also posting updates on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, with viewers tuning in to watch her day-to-day lifestyle, inspired by her no-fuss take on life.

Most of the videos and content she produces revolves round the topic of blindness and offers some interesting insight into how a blind person operates every single day.

She does add comedic comments and humour into each video and has 3.3 million combined likes on her TikTok channel.

Claire has also appeared on BBC News to spread awareness about sight loss and to talk about how she does so using social media.

Whilst most tourists visit Edinburgh Zoo to witness the panda's either sleeping or sitting still, this particular trip obviously meant so much more to Claire, who by the sounds of it, will definitely be returning at some point.

Users in the comments were quick to congratulate Claire and express their happiness. One said: "Sensational. You are an inspiration, you deserve all the happiness in the world."

Another said: "Are you now the panda whisperer? Glad you had a great time mate."

One added: "Edinburgh Zoo is one of my favourite places. Hope you had a fab time in Scotland."
