Bleacher Report says Ravens could trade back into the first round of 2022 draft for this prospect

The Baltimore Ravens are slated to have 10 picks in the 2022 NFL draft, including nine in the first rounds. Their first selection is No. 14 overall, but even if they make a pick at that spot they could trade back up into the first round to select another talented prospect.

When looking at players who could become targets for teams looking to trade back into the first round, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report named Baltimore as a possibility for one of the top center prospects in the draft in former University of Iowa star Tyler Linderbaum. Knox cited that since

“The Baltimore Ravens could be a squad to watch. They traded back into Round 1 to grab Lamar Jackson and his fifth-year option in 2018. They also lost 2021 starting center Bradley Bozeman in free agency. If the Ravens can move up from 45th overall to land Linderbaum in the first, they may make the jump—assuming, of course, that Baltimore doesn’t take him at No. 14.”

There has been plenty of chatter surrounding Linderbaum as a potential target at No. 14 for the Ravens, but those rumors have seemingly cooled off a bit. The former Hawkeye is one of the best center prospects in the last few seasons, and if the team feels like they want a premium player at the position on a rookie contract, Linderbaum could be their answer. However, Baltimore has historically not invested much capital in terms of money or picks into center, so it might be a bit unlikely that they would surrender assets as well as use a high selection at the position.
