Bleacher Report gives out grades for Ravens’ 2022 offseason moves

The Baltimore Ravens have had a very busy 2022 offseason, addressing multiple needs while adding plenty of talent across the board. They’ve signed high-quality free agents, selected plenty of high-potential rookies, and added to an already very good roster.

When giving out offseason grades for all 32 NFL teams, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report seemed to like what Baltimore was able to do during the course of the offseason so far. He gave them a B+ as an overall grade, splitting it up into an A+ for their draft and a B- for their work in free agency. Knox talked about the key moves that the Ravens made both in their signings of veterans and their selections of rookies.

“The Baltimore Ravens might have had a better offseason than any other team in their division. They landed a premier safety in Marcus Williams in free agency and managed to retain one of their key defenders in Calais Campbell. They also did a fine job of replacing starting center Bradley Bozeman with Tyler Linderbaum in the draft.”

Knox also put together a category for an “extra credit project” for each team, and for Baltimore his choice was getting a great return for Marquise Brown.

“The Ravens also deserve a ton of credit for getting a first-round pick for wideout Marquise Brown, who has only one 1,000-yard campaign on his resume. He had moments of brilliance during his three seasons in Baltimore but never quite emerged as a reliable No. 1 target…Even though the Ravens had to send a third-round pick with Brown to Arizona, getting the No. 23 overall pick in exchange for him was a masterstroke.”

While there are still areas where the Ravens can improve their roster as the offseason continues, they’ve been able to add pieces around their already existing nucleus of talent that should pay off in a big way during 2022. Add that in with the fact that Baltimore will be getting multiple big-time contributors back from injury should make the team a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season.
