Blake Lively shares hilarious snap as she skips Met Gala and reveals plans for the night

Blake Lively has revealed her plans for tonight as celebrities begin to arrive at the Met Gala.

As stars like Paris Hilton shared their pre-gala beauty preparations online, Gossip Girl actress Blake, 35, took to Instagram earlier this evening to share how she will be spending her Monday night.

Blake, who shares four children with husband Ryan Reynolds, posted a snap of herself pumping breastmilk in a bathroom to her 39.5million followers - adding a gif to the picture to make it look like milk is pouring out of her chest.

"First Monday in May," the mum-of-four cheekily captioned the update on her Instagram Stories.

Blake and Deadpool actor Ryan appeared to confirm the arrival of their latest child ahead of the 2023 SuperBowl when the Gossip Girl star shared a photo to her Instagram minus her baby bump.

Posing alongside Ryan and his mum Tammy she captioned the post: "Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023 been busy."

Ryan and Blake are already parents to James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3.

Last month Blake confirmed she would not be making an appearance at this year's Met Gala celebrations, after previously co-chairing past events.

The A Simple Favour actress explained she will be watching the biggest night in fashion from the comfort of her own home and wouldn't be wowing on the red carpet like previous years.

Blake has been a Met Gala favourite since her debut at the fundraiser in 2008 and even used the event to make her red carpet debut with now-husband Ryan back in 2014.

After PEOPLE complimented the actress on her 2022 Met Gala ensemble, Blake jokingly added: "Thank you, that's very sweet. I'll be wearing that on my couch on Monday."

The theme for this year's Met Gala centres around Lagerfeld, who passed away at the age of 85 in 2019. The exhibition, titled 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty', celebrates the late style icon's work at Balmain, Patou, Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his eponymous label.

Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer and Dua Lipa join Vogue editor Anna Wintour as the evening’s official co-chairs, as 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty' showcases over 150 original looks from the late designer.

Dua was once of the first to arrive ahead of the exhibition earlier this evening, with actress Penelope Cruz and Rita Ora also early arrivals outside the museum in New York City.
