Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick appeared to be fast friends last night at the London premiere of Another Simple Favour, the sequel to their 2018 blockbuster A Simple Favour.
The two actresses were pictured giggling and embracing on the red carpet, dispelling recent rumours of a “feud” developing between them.
These rumours gained traction around the time of South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in March, when both stars attended but appeared to keep their distance from each other on the red carpet.
Suspicion was prompted by an interview between Anna Kendrick and a red carpet reporter who asked Kendrick how she felt about reuniting with Lively for the sequel. Kendrick flashed an awkward smile and said, “Oh, you know…” as she walked away from the reporter.

However, when Lively was asked the same question, she said that it was “the best” and she was “so happy” to be working together again.
Fans also noticed that Lively and Kendrick did not take any solo pictures together at the event, only posing with the rest of the cast. Actors keeping their distance at premieres has been a hallmark of recent celebrity feuds, including Blake Lively’s recent battle with Justin Baldoni.
During the promotional tour for It Ends With Us, Lively and Baldoni were never pictured together and always took interviews separately. At the premiere, Lively was pictured with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as the other cast members, but was never seen with Baldoni. The only official images that exist of them together are from the set of It Ends With Us during the filming process.
It was eventually revealed that a substantial rift had developed between the two actors, with Baldoni also serving as the film’s director. In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging that he sexually harassed her on set and orchestrated a smear campaign designed to ruin her reputation. Baldoni has denied these claims.
A month later, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, also naming her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane. Their trial is set to begin in March 2026.
Meanwhile, Lively and Kendrick appear to be mending whatever distance had developed between them. As well as the friendly photographs from the premiere, Page Six has reported that the event photographers caught the actresses having a “lighthearted chat.” Looks like it’s all water under the bridge!
