Blake Corum injury vs. Seahawks: Latest news on Rams RB

(This post has been updated to provide new information)

The Los Angeles Rams made Kyren Williams a healthy scratch on Sunday as they chose to rest him before the playoffs, leaving Blake Corum as the starting running back for the season finale. It was an opportunity for Corum to showcase his ability with a heavier workload, but his time as the starter was short-lived.

Corum carried it twice for 10 yards in the first two quarters and caught one pass for 12 yards before suffering a forearm injury in the second quarter.

Blake Corum injury update

Corum has been ruled questionable to return with a forearm injury. It’s unclear when the injury occurred, but it may have happened on his 12-yard reception where he collided with Riq Woolen along the sideline.

Postgame update: Sean McVay told reporters that Corum fractured his forearm and will miss the playoffs, ending his season.

Rams RB depth chart

With Williams inactive, the Rams had Corum, Ronnie Rivers and Cody Schrader as their only three healthy running backs. If Corum doesn’t return, it’ll all be on Rivers and Schrader to handle the workload in the backfield the rest of the game.
