A drive-in cinema that will screen some of the most terrifying films ever made will open its gates this Halloween.
The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Scream Screen will run in the nights leading up to and including October 31 with six carefully curated horror movies scheduled for the event.
Brave movie-goers are invited to the theme park under the cloak of darkness to experience petrifying cinematic masterpieces such as the controversial The Exorcist in the ominous open air.
A giant outdoor cinema screen will be erected especially for the event, and in traditional drive-in movie style, guests will need park up and tune their car radios to experience the sound.
The chosen films are all top-rated from the genre - both modern and classic - with one dedicated screening for younger participants.
There's also going to be traditional popcorn and hotdog stands at the ready for the event.
Tickets for the hotly anticipated event are on sale now - but cinema-goers are advised to book quickly as the 2018 event was a sell-out.

Sunday, October 27 at 8:30pm: Candyman (1992)
American supernatural slasher which follows the story of a graduate working on a thesis about urban legends which leads her to the myth of "Candyman", the ghost of an artist and son of a slave who was murdered in the late 19th century.
Monday, October 28 at 8:30pm: The Conjuring (2013)
This US supernatural horror film is the first in the famous franchising follows a pair of paranormal investigators associated with prominent haunting cases. The duo are called on to help the a family with their celestial disturbance. The situation worsens at they become closer to clearing the family farmhouse of the apparent dark presence.
Tuesday, October 29 at 8:30pm: Saw (2004)
The first installment in the Saw franchise, the film portrays two men who awake to find themselves chained in a large dilapidated bathroom, with one being ordered to kill the other or his family will die.
Wednesday, October 30 at 6.45pm: Hocus Pocus
One for the kids, this iconic Disney classic stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and a young Sarah Jessica Parker as a trio of villainous yet comedic witches who are mistakenly brought back from the dead by a teenage boy in Salem on Halloween.
Wednesday, October 30 at 9:30pm: The Exorcist (1973)

When a 12-year-old girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter. The film was met with controversy upon its release. Some viewers had adverse physical reactions, often fainting or vomiting to a number of graphic scenes. There were reports of heart attacks and miscarriages and a psychiatric journal carried a paper on "cinematic neurosis" triggered by the film.
The film later became the first ever horror film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture - one of 10 Oscars it was nominated for and has since been recognised as being historically significant by the Library of Congress.
Thursday, October 31 at 8:30pm: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
The film is a remake of the original 1974 controversial slasher which follows a group of friends who fall victim to a family of cannibals while on their way to visit an old homestead. It is well-known for its graphic and gory content - including the use of power tools as murder weapons and a killer, Leatherface, who wears a mask made of human skin.
