Fashion houses are keeping their fingers on the pulse of music's rising stars now more than ever, especially in regard to K-pop powerhouse Blackpink. Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé have been appointed brand ambassadors of Chanel, Christian Dior and Saint Laurent respectively and now Lisa has officially joined Louis Vuitton. The Thai singer has a longstanding relationship with LVMH so her appointment comes as no surprise.
Lisa already serves as an ambassador for Celine, even walking in the fashion house's Summer 2022 show in France before finding her way to Louis Vuitton's Fall 2024 ready-to-wear show in March. For the show, she wore black leather shorts and black stockings paired with a ruffled crop top and an embroidered coat from the brand's 18th century-focused 2018 collection crafted by Nicolas Ghesquière. She even accessorized with a Pic Trunk camera bag and LV Knot pumps.
"Across the board, Lisa sets trends and approaches her craft with fearless authenticity," Louis Vuitton praises. "I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a House Ambassador. She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey," adds Ghesquière.
Lisa seems just as stoked. "Nicolas Ghesquière's identity is strongly reflected in the designs that he creates and that is what makes Louis Vuitton pieces so special. I'm very excited to see how his ideas come to life." She joins other house ambassadors like Zendaya, Sophie Turner and Emma Stone.
Her decision to work with the French luxury house also coincides with the beginning of her solo career after the group's four members declined to renew their individual contracts with their management company YG Entertainment last December. Lisa recently debuted her new single "Rockstar," which charted at number four on the Billboard Global 200 chart and is slated to star in the third season of HBO's The White Lotus, set in her home country of Thailand.
