Black Mirror fans gush over Aaron Paul in 'best episode yet' but they have one request

Aaron Paul has been praised for his performance in the latest series of Black Mirror.

The actor, best known for playing Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, stars opposite Josh Hartnett in Beyond The Sea. The third instalment of Black Mirror season six sees the pair play Cliff and David respectively, in an alternative 1969 - the year of the first ever moon landings.

Cliff and David are completing a six-year mission in space together, and advances in technology mean they have Earth replicas of themselves back home, so they can continue to live with their families. But, of course, it doesn't end well for them.

Kate Mara plays Cliff's wife Mara, Auden Thornton is David's wife Jessica, while Rory Culkin also makes an appearance.

Fans soon flocked to Twitter to heap praise on Aaron Paul, who gave an emotional performance throughout the episode. @ForeverTTTrez said: "Of course the episode starring Aaron Paul is arguably the best episode of black mirror season 6" and @GatorGoatJohnny adds: "Black Mirror remembers to put human drama at the forefront, resulting in possibly the best episode of the series. Aaron Paul absolutely knocks it out of the park in an alternate 1969 space race that feels immediately believable."

@B_ImDanaDane_ added: "Aaron Paul deserves all the things. What a performance. He never disappoints #BlackMirror". @ImJessSaiyan echoed: "Aaron Paul is such a good actor. That scene in Black Mirror’s Beyond the Sea where he’s staring at the caterpillar - holy s**t".

@naniiii182 said: “Beyond the Sea” episode of Black Mirror was so f*****g good. Aaron Paul’s acting continues to be phenomenal." @thisisnefertiti added: "One thing about Aaron Paul guest staring in a show, he’s gonna scream and cry but it’s gonna eat every time".

Others requested that the actor's next few roles are more light-hearted. Aaron's previous roles have included Caleb Nichols in the HBO science fiction drama Westworld and the voice of Todd Chavez in Netflix adult animation series Bojack Horseman.

@catatIanta tweeted: "i am asking politely for someone to cast aaron paul in literally anything where his character gets to be happy. i can’t take much more of this," and @strwbrrycowboy added: "i need a universe where aaron paul’s character ends up being happy".

Black Mirror season six is now available to stream on Netflix.
