Black Friday takes place on 25 November but the biggest shopping day of the year is not a 24-hour event anymore. Instead, retailers will cut the price of thousands of items throughout November in an attempt to outdo each other in the run up to Black Friday.
Amazon has launched a number of big sales early this year with discounts on everything from beauty advent calendars to Shark vacuum cleaners, while Boots has also gone early with a Black Friday sale that featured stocking fillers, beauty calendars and even prams.
There are just two notable retailers offering early Black Friday sales at the moment but check back here for more as they happen. The deals may not be as strong as those released in the full Black Friday sale but there are plenty of discounts to be found around the internet. Here we find the best early Black Friday deals that actually represent a bargain.

Amazon early Black Friday deals
There are the usual eclectic mix of deals on the Amazon Black Friday pages. That means it can be difficult to find actual value there.
Here are some tips. Ignore the Amazon devices pages for now. The likes of the Echo Dot and Echo Show will be heavily discounted much closer to the day itself. It will be the same for headline-grabbing Shark vacuum cleaners and Philips grooming kits. Both are expected to be drastically reduced on Black Friday.
Instead the best deals are on beauty advent calendars, which are reduced for brands including Revolution, NYX and Cath Kidston. They are reduced by as much as 50% and can be opened and used for Christmas gifting. You can see the deals here.
Other interesting Amazon deals include Lumie wake up lights reduced by up to a third. These lights help you to wake up using soft light steadily getting brighter instead of a loud alarm.
The final deal is on a Dyson Airwrap dupe. Do not expect Dyson to discount the in-demand hair styler but there is a Babyliss version that costs just £40, down from £70 and has shoppers quite excited. One reviewer says: "“This makes blow drying hair so quick and easy. Wish I saw this before I bought the Dyson Airwrap (luckily I was able to return it). I think this is much better than the Dyson version and a lot cheaper too.”
Boots early Black Friday deals
Boots is one of the first big brands to officially call its November sale a Black Friday sale. The discounts are live now and our review expert Bethan has already been picking through the best deals available.
She has picked out this Sanctuary Spa set that can give you a spa experience at home. Bethan says it comes with "top-to-toe body care treats for the ultimate pampering and perfect night's sleep."
Originally £50, the gift set will be reduced to £24.50 but do not expect that price to last for very long.
Other bargains picked out by our experts include a Joules weekend bag that will be reduced for two weeks, a charity advent calendar priced at £88 but featuring 24 products from mascaras and lip pencils, to hot cloth cleansers and sheet masks, and a host of stocking fillers.
