RAIPUR: BJP president J P Nadda, on his maiden visit to Raipur as party president, will be arriving on September 9, said party Chhattisgarh president Arun Sao while talking to media on Tuesday.
The opposition BJP in the state is planning a mega road show for Nadda who will stay in Raipur for four days. While Nadda will be addressing the party workers and leaders on September 9, he will be dedicating the remaining three days to the coordination committee meeting of RSS from September 10 to 12.
Sao said that Nadda, the former in-charge of Chhattisgarh, would be reaching Raipur airport at 11 AM. Later, he will address the party workers at the Government Science College ground. Sao said that Nadda’s visit to Raipur and his meeting with party leaders and workers will help the party’s preparations for the forthcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh.
Sao said that over 50000 party workers are expected to participate in the roadshow which will be historic.
Nadda was in-charge of Chhattisgarh BJP during the 2013 assembly elections in Chhattisgarh in which the party retained power for the third term under leadership of Dr Raman Singh.
After the party workers' meeting Nadda will leave for the state BJP office Kushabhau Thackeray premises and hold a meeting of the core group, state office bearers, MLAs and MPs at BJP state office bearers.
