BJP leader calls for religious segregation among shopkeepers in East Delhi

A viral video of BJP’s Ravinder Negi, alias Ravi Negi, shows him threatening Muslim shopkeepers, asking them to write their names on their shops and urging Hindus to put up saffron flags.

The Municipal Councillor from Vinod Nagar in East Delhi, who lost to Manish Sisodia in Patparganj constituency in the 2020 assembly polls, has been segregating local shopkeepers on religious basis. He also demands that meat shops be shut during Navratri and Sawan.

But why does Negi do this? What is his motivation? And what are the locals’ opinion on this practice?

Watch the video report.
