Birmingham City fans all agree on Lyle Taylor issue as Nottingham Forest face transfer decision

Birmingham City fans insist Lyle Taylor's age should not be an issue as the Blues contemplate making a permanent move for the Nottingham Forest striker this summer.

Taylor has proven to be a huge hit at St Andrew's after leaving the Reds in the January transfer window which has seen him score three goals in his first four games and he also registered a couple of assists.

The forward has clearly loved being reunited with his former manager Lee Bowyer at Blues who would no doubt want to sign the forward this summer.

But his age has become a talking point among Blues fans with the ex-AFC Wimbledon striker about to turn 32 and they already have two strikers on their books who are in the same age bracket.

However, Blues fans on social media say it should be no barrier. Here's what they had to say.

Robert Paul Middleton: "Age shouldn’t be a problem as long as the ball goes in the net."

Adam Bill Billingham: "For me, it’s a priority we sign him - don’t care about his age at all."

Sarah Louise: "Just because he’s 31 doesn’t mean it’s the end of his career, he’s leaps and bounds ahead of Juke who’s only a year older."

Tom Watton: "We have to do what we can to keep him, he’s a goalscorer and that’s what we need right now, how old was Kevin Phillips when we signed him?!"

Maurice Murphy: "If he’s scoring goals I wouldn’t care if he was 70 years of age."

Mason Griffiths: "Still in his prime nothing wrong with like a 2-3 year contract."

What do you think Forest should do with Lyle Taylor this summer? Keep or sell? Let us know in the comments below.
