Mumbai: Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale, a veteran and an acclaimed name in Indian Judiciary, has unfolded many a secrets of his personal as well as professional life in his Biography ‘The Benevolent Judge’. This book will be unveiled by Supreme Court Judges Justice Bhushan Gavai and Justice Vikram Nath in a glittering ceremony on Sunday morning here in Mumbai.
Justices Gavai and Nath have written foreword of ‘The Benevolent Judge’.
The ceremony will be presided over by the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Devendra Kumar Upadhyay.
Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Prasanna Bhalachandra Varale of the Supreme Court are the key witnesses of the book unveiling function.
The Launching Ceremony Organising Team told Dynamite News, over 90 senior judges of the country will grace the occasion. Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar, Lokpal of India; Justice Ashok Bhushan, Chairperson of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT); Justice Vineet Saran, Chairperson of River Water Disputes Tribunal; Justice Krishna Murari will participate in the ceremony.
Besides, a number of High Court Judges including Justice Ravi Vijaykumar Malimath, Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court; Justice Manoj Gupta, Senior most Judge of the Allahabad High Court; Justice SD Singh, Justice Ajay Bhanot, Judges of the Allahabad High Court and Justice Manavendranath Roy, Judge of the Gujarat High Court; Justice Tarun Agarwal, former Chief Justice and former Chairperson of SAT; Justice Justice Ranjit Vasantrao More, Chairperson, CAT will also be attending the function.

A glimpse of Justice Dilip B Bhosale exemplary journey
Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale is a renowned name in Indian Judiciary. An ex-Judicial Member of Lokpal Committee, Bhosale is the former Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, Acting Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court and Judge of Hyderabad High Court, Karnataka High Court and Bombay High Court.
Born on 24 October 1956, Bhosale hails from a prominent family of Maharashtra. His father Babasaheb Bhosale was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1982 to 1983 while his uncle Shivajirao was the Vice-Chancellor of Marathwada University.
Bhosale did his law at Government Law College, Mumbai and joined the Bar in June 1980. He began his career starting Assistant Government Pleader and Assistant Public Prosecutor from 1986 to 1991 in Bombay High Court. In January 2001, Bhosale was appointed as Additional Judge at the Bombay High Court and promoted to be a Permanent Judge two years later. Beginning 2012, Bhosale was appointed as a sitting Judge at the High Court of Karnataka. On 30 July 2016, he was promoted to Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court He remained there till 23 October 2018.
