Bingo Loco 3Arena event could see ‘long walk of shame’ at biggest gig yet

Bingo Loco XXL is coming to Dublin turf for their biggest event ever in the 3Arena and with that comes the “longest walk of shame”.

The one-of-a-kind event will take place on Saturday May 28 and is set to bring epic throwback tunes, showers of confetti, outrageous performers, incredible prizes and so much more.

It will provide hilarious dance-offs, cheeky stage performers, lip-sync battles, fancy dress, outrageous props, holiday giveaways, and of course, a not so casual game of bingo at a much bigger level.

William Meara, co-founder of Bingo Loco told Dublin Live: “Sometimes people call a fake bingo. Someone will go to the toilet and their friends will mark their numbers as a joke, they’ll run to the stage thinking they’ve won a prize but they’ll realise when they get there that they haven’t won anything.

“Then you’ve the long Bingo Loco walk of shame back to your table, the audience might boo you, or even cheer you.

“Bingo has a format that has been around a long time, it’s typically for an older audience. It has a very adrenaline fuelled format when you’re playing it.

“There’s always a near miss, whether you’re one number away from a line or for a full house. You always feel that you’re very close to winning.”

According to William, a Bingo Loco event wouldn’t be a Bingo Loco event without some innocent troublemakers having a good time.

He said: “Bingo gives you something to focus on for the entire duration of the show and you combine that with a theatrical script that involves comedy, throwback anthems from the past 20 years as well as ridiculous prizes from lawnmowers to holidays.

“Usually by the third round people don’t care about the bingo anymore. They’re having a good laugh, enjoying high energy songs and lip sync battles.”

He believes that this will “be the most outrageous bingo gig ever”. There has been around 1000 Bingo Loco events since it first started but never anything like this.

William said: “We bring a very high energy, high party atmosphere that allows people to socialise.

“We’re going to have 4,500 people in the biggest bingo event ever. We’ll have people monitoring who wins. We’ll then get that person who wins up on stage. The more people who win, the more craic we’ll have.

“We always keep the audience guessing, no two shows are the same. We’ve had Dustin the Turkey appear before, we’d Mickey Joe Harte come along and sing a few songs. We’ve definitely crazy stuff planned for this event.

“We’ll be giving away two holidays, one to Disneyland Paris and another to Disneyland Orlando and then the winner will be jetted off to Vegas.”
