Greater Manchester councils have announced their plans for rubbish and recycling collection over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
With Good Friday and Easter Monday just days away, tweaks to refuse collection schedules is always something to keep in mind. However, the majority of town halls have stated that ‘it is business as usual’ for them.
Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford have all confirmed there will be no changes to their bin schedule.
The majority of people in the region will be able to enjoy the holiday period without the dreaded feeling of missing bin day. The only borough that needs to keep an eye out for the the bin wagons coming earlier than usual is Wigan.
For Wiganers, collections will be a day earlier than usual, with bin duties going back to normal on the week commencing April 10. So, for example, if you get your black bin collected on Friday normally, it will be collected on Thursday instead.

No collections will take place on either Friday, April 7 or Monday, April 10.
