Musician Billy Ray Cyrus and a large crowd gathered in rural Pennsylvania to pay tribute to local hero Corey Comperatore, who tragically lost his life while protecting his family during an attempt to assassinate former President Trump in Butler.
Comperatore, a dedicated individual, had served in the U.S. Army Reserves for a decade and later became the chief of the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department in Pennsylvania during the early 2000s. Described as a churchgoing, loving father and husband, he was a respected member of the community.
Billy Ray Cyrus, known for his support of troops and first responders, was present at the service to show his respect. He was seen interacting with law enforcement officials and joined the family in a heartfelt performance.
During the service, Cyrus sang 'Amazing Grace' and also performed his 1992 song, 'Some Gave All,' in honor of Comperatore's sacrifice.
The funeral procession was a solemn affair, with representatives from various law enforcement agencies, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military members coming together to pay their respects. The community showed their support by waving flags, and many were visibly moved, wiping away tears as they bid farewell to a true hero.
