Billy Ray Cyrus has officially concluded his divorce proceedings with his ex-wife, Firerose, with an agreement that sees her walking away without any financial compensation. The divorce was finalized in Tennessee, with both parties signing the necessary documents to end their marriage.
The settlement stipulates that Firerose, formerly known as Johanna Rose Hodges, will not receive any monetary settlement from Cyrus. However, Cyrus, the renowned singer of 'Achy Breaky Heart,' will relinquish his claims to credits and royalties for songs that they co-wrote and published during their marriage.
Following their wedding in October 2023, Cyrus filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reasons for the split. He also sought an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
During the divorce proceedings, Cyrus accused Firerose of unauthorized credit card charges amounting to $96,000. In response, Firerose argued that she had been granted access to Cyrus' credit cards since they began living together in 2022 and should be entitled to use their shared funds to support her lifestyle.
In a counter-complaint, Firerose alleged that Cyrus exhibited unpredictable and volatile behavior, including emotional and psychological abuse, which she attributed to his drug and marijuana use. Cyrus refuted these claims, asserting that Firerose was the one who engaged in abusive behavior and even threatened to sabotage his career if he pursued a divorce.
Notably, Firerose claimed that Cyrus served her with divorce papers just before she was scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy, a move she described as an 'ambush.'
Billy Ray Cyrus, who was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022, has six children, including Miley, Braison, Noah, Brandi, and Trace.
