Just days after hard launching his romance with Elizabeth Hurley, rumours are swirling that Billy Ray Cyrus kept his new relationship a secret from his daughter, Miley Cyrus.
ICYMI, Elizabeth made her relationship with Billy Instagram official on Monday with a loved-up post of the pair sharing a smooch and an accompanying caption celebrating Easter with a love heart emoji.
It confirmed previous rumblings of the pair’s romance which circulated earlier this month, when Elizabeth shared a bikini-clad video of herself soundtracked to the Billy song “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore”.
I guess “Achy Breaky Heart” might’ve been too fortelling?
Now, an insider has claimed that Miley was kept in the dark as to her father’s new relationship, and is worried about how it might “overshadow” her forthcoming album.
“Of course Miley didn’t know,” a source told New Idea hours after her dad’s Instagram debut.
“She won’t be happy about this,” they added. “She’s about to launch an album and a movie and this is going to overshadow it all.”
The source went on to claim that Miley “stays away from her dad as much as possible,” citing the entire Cyrus family’s pretty public feud that has come to include messy divorces, rumoured love triangles, and performances at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

The beef between Billy and Miley reportedly came to a head last month, when Billy shared public praise for the pop star after she announced Something Beautiful, her upcoming album and accompanying short film set for release in June.
“Miley doesn’t want the family feud drama overshadowing her music career”, a source told Daily Mail of the pop star’s reaction to Billy’s supportive post.
“Especially right now as she gears up for a new era.”
Miley apparently feels similarly after the more recent hard launch of her father’s relationship, though Billy would probably have to pull off a “Wrecking Ball”-sized cultural moment to truly overshadow his daughter.
Elizabeth and Billy have each made headlines with their respective relationships in the past.
The English actress and model was famously engaged to Aussie cricketer Shane Warne from 2011 to 2013, and elsewhere dated actor Hugh Grant and businessman Steve Bing.
Billy, meanwhile, finalised his (messy) divorce with Australian singer Firerose last year, and was previously married to Tish Cyrus for 29 years.
