Todd Cantwell officially became Michael Beale's first Rangers signing yesterday as the new boss begins putting his stamp on the club.
The former Norwich City midfielder - who was heading out of contract in the summer - has put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Ibrox. The 24-year-old has detailed the key factors behind making the switch north of the border with his new gaffer one of the main reasons. He believes it is a very important stage of his career and transfer as he bids to rediscover his best form at Ibrox. Playing at the top level in Europe and challenging for trophies also played a major role in rubber stamping the deal.
The new recruit will wear the No13 shirt for Rangers and he didn't take long to share his big news on Instagram and he set the challenge down to Celtic as he roared: "We've got the battle fever on." His caption was accompanied by a series of pictures of Cantwell posing around Ibrox with his new jersey on with the post alone picking up over 40,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

One standout name to Scottish football left a message having played alongside the midfielder during a loan spell at Norwich City. Billy Gilmour - who came through the youth ranks at Rangers before moving to Chelsea and then Brighton - wrote: "All the best bro." accompanied with a blue heart emoji and raised hands.
The likes of England and Roma star Tammy Abraham Dominic Solanke also left comments of support for the midfielder.
Speaking about his move to Ibrox, he said: "I am delighted and I feel very proud. This is obviously a massive football club and I am delighted to get going and to get started.
"This is a massive club and there is a massive responsibility when you sign for Rangers to be the player that the fans want to see.
"They want to see a player that works hard and a player that can win them games which is very important and that is something I am hoping I can bring."
