As of Friday, Bulls guard Lonzo Ball has been out for 7 weeks following having surgery on his left knee to help repair a small tear in his meniscus.
And yet, there’s no set timetable for Ball’s return to the floor, according to Billy Donovan.
“He has not responded,” Donovan said speaking to the media on Friday. “There’s no setbacks, it’s still the same thing…he has not been able to do anything full speed and anytime we get him close to that, there’s discomfort.”
Ball has been out of the lineup since mid-January after suffering the meniscus tear in his left knee, which was followed up by arthroscopic surgery with a return timetable of 6-8 weeks.
“He’s made some strides but he hasn’t made significant enough strides where we can keep pushing him,” Donovan said.
Donovan said that the Bulls training staff were going to get together and decide what the next plan of action is for Ball’s rehab, whether that’s having him rest for some time or take another route to help the discomfort.
