Bills’ stadium is absolutely covered in a mountain of snow during Buffalo blizzard

With a monstrous lake-effect snowstorm overtaking western New York, it seems like everything in that part of the state is covered in snow. And if it’s not now, it probably will be by the end of the weekend with snowfall expectations reaching four feet, USA TODAY reported.

FOUR FEET.

Even the weather radar forecast looked like the Buffalo Bills’ logo.

So naturally, the wise decision was made Thursday to move the Bills’ home game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday away from Highmark Stadium to Ford Field in Detroit — a move that came with incredible jokes at the Lions’ expense.

Sure, playing football in this massive blizzard would have been totally chaotic and fun to watch, and some people were hilariously even looking up players’ heights to compare against the expected feet of snow. But it would have been dangerous for players, fans and just about anyone else attempting to show up.

Just look at these stadium photos the Bills shared Friday on Twitter. They’re beautiful, but it’s also clear the best decision was to move the game out of state — even if they’ve played through a snowstorm before.

Wild stuff.

Seriously, there’s no way this stadium would have been ready for football Sunday, especially with more snow expected to fall before then.

Update: MORE SNOW.
