Bills not expected to pursue trade for Derrick Henry

The internet was set on fire on Monday when news broke that the Tennessee Titans were reportedly shopping Derrick Henry while down at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine this past week.

Upon learning of this, fans of contending teams wondered if their squad may try and trade for the veteran running back, who is the definition of a piece that could help put a team over the top.

The Buffalo Bills were being mentioned among those teams; however, Bally Sports’ Michael Silver, who put out the report about Henry being shopped, said he does not “expect the Bills to make a run” at the Titans’ star back.

A trade to the Bills would make sense for both sides, at least on the surface.

If the Titans trade Henry, he’ll certainly be looking to go to a contender at this late stage in his career, and the Bills’ elite offense would definitely benefit from having one of the best backs in the NFL.

Whether the Bills get involved or not, this is certainly a situation worth monitoring, as a Henry trade could alter the NFL landscape and would signify that the Titans are indeed in rebuild mode.
