Bills knock out Ravens, gain rematch with Chiefs in AFC Championship Game

The Buffalo Bills are going to Kansas City. Kansas City here they come.

The AFC East champs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in a thrilling AFC divisional round game on Sunday, 27-25.

The game wasn’t decided until the final 93 seconds when Ravens tight end Mark Andrews lost his footing and couldn’t collect a two-point conversion pass from Lamar Jackson that would have tied the game.

It was the second mistake by the usually sure-handed Andrews in the fourth quarter. Earlier, he caught a pass and had it punched out of his grasp by Terrel Bernard. The Bills recovered the first fumble by Andrews since 2019.

Josh Allen and the Bills played mistake-free football while the Ravens turned it over three times.

Buffalo went 10-0 at Highmark Stadium this season. Up next on Jan. 26 is a date with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in a game that will decide who represents the AFC in the Super Bowl against either the Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders.

The Ravens had clsed to within 27-25 on a 24-yard pass from Jackson to Isaiah Likely with 1:33 left.

Jackson rolled right on the two-point conversion and found Andrews, who couldn’t bring in the catch.

An onside kick attempt failed the Bills were on to Kansas City.

The AFC Championship Game will be on CBS at 6:30 p.m. ET. The teams played in Orchard Park in the regular season and the Bills downed the Chiefs, one of two losses for the Super Bowl champs in the regular season.
