How badly did Jordan Poyer — and the Buffalo Bills — want to win the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead?
This bad:
The Bills’ elite defensive back was not cleared to play in the huge AFC clash due to a rib injury.
So, he did what anyone who would not be denied the chance to face Patrick Mahomes & Co. would: He hired a car service to drive him from Buffalo to Kansas City.
The drive took approximately 15 hours, and he was accompanied by wife, Rachel, and daughter Aliyah, the Buffalo News reported, per Poyer’s brother Jeremiah.
That trip via I-70 West would be 984 miles … each way.
We say each way because Poyer still can’t fly and is using the same service to return to Western New York.
I'm told #bills safety Jordan Poyer used a car service that drove him from Buffalo to Kansas City. He's also still not cleared even though he played in the game, so he's using the car service to get back to Buffalo as well. https://t.co/JnLQ4l2VFg

Poyer does catch one break thanks to the NFL schedule. The Bills are on their bye week in Week 7. The Week 8 game is home against Green Bay and in Week 9, the Bills make the trek to MetLife to face the Jets.
