The Buffalo Bills and their fan base will enter the 2024 playoffs with heavy hearts following the news of the death of Bills fan Dylan Brody Isaacs.
Tragedy struck in the aftermath of the Bills’ Week 18 road win over the Miami Dolphins, when Isaacs, 30, was shot and killed during an altercation outside Hard Rock Stadium, according to multiple reports.
In a press release from Miami Gardens Police, authorities say an altercation involving Isaacs and friends, and an unidentified male suspect began as the group returned to their vehicle, per the Associated Press. The suspect then fired a gun at Isaacs, who died at the scene; AP reported a suspect has since been identified and questioned.
A Wednesday report from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle details Miami police’s description of the incident, which reportedly began in a parking lot near Hard Rock around 11:55 p.m. ET. Police say an erratic driver struck a pedestrian before trying to strike Isaacs and his friends, leading to the group chasing the car and the driver exiting the car to fire his weapon before fleeing.
The family of Isaacs, who lived in nearby Hollywood, Fla., has raised $97,667 as of Wednesday in a GoFundMe to raise money for his funeral, exceeding the fundraiser’s initial goal of $50,000.
