The Arizona Cardinals did not trade wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on Thursday as was reported it could happen. Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort suggested that a deal probably isn’t going to happen.
However, two teams still make a lot of sense.
The Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs were named as likely trade partners.
The Bills and Chiefs still could be in play.
The Ravens drafted Boston College receiver Zay Flowers in the first round and they already signed Odell Beckham.
The Bills and Chiefs did not take receivers.
Both teams have picks in the second round —the Bills with No. 59 overall and the Chiefs with No. 63 overall.
In Round 3, the Bills have No. 91 and the Chiefs have No. 95.
While Ossenfort downplayed a trade, both those teams could use a big-time receiver like Hopkins and they have the draft capital to make a move if they want.
