Bills Ask Fans to Shovel Snow at Highmark Stadium Amid Winter Storm Warning

All hands on deck at Highmark Stadium!

As the Buffalo Bills prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Sunday matchup on wild-card weekend, much of western New York is under a winter storm warning, with heavy lake effect snow and strong winds expected.

With snow already falling in Orchard Park, the team is reaching out to Bills Mafia for help with the preparation of Highmark Stadium for the playoff game. The team is looking to hire snow shovelers to work shifts starting from Saturday night through Sunday morning, if needed, in an article posted to the team website

The shovelers, who must be age 18 and over (or under 18 with working papers), are asked to bring their own shovels if possible, though one will be provided if they do not have one. They’ll be paid $20 per hour and will receive complementary food and breaks throughout their shifts.

The Buffalo Bills and their fans are bracing for turbulent weather during Sunday’s wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With one to three feet of snow expected in the Buffalo area, the Bills’ snow shovelers likely will be busy.

A report from KDKA-AM in Pittsburgh circulated earlier this week stating that the game could be moved from Buffalo to Cleveland due to weather, but the NFL refuted the report

The Bills (11–6), riding a five-game winning streak, are nearly 10-point favorites over the Steelers (10–7). Kickoff at Highmark Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET Sunday, with the television broadcast on CBS.
