After entering Week 10 lacking depth at safety, the Bills announced a key gameday elevation for Monday Night Football with Micah Hyde (neck/stinger) out due to injury.
For just the second time during the 2023-24 season, safety Damar Hamlin will be active for coach Sean McDermott’s squad as Buffalo takes the field for a home game against the Broncos (3–5) in primetime.
For his last appearance in Week 4, Hamlin, whose incredible return from an in-game medical event continues to inspire, played just 18 snaps on special teams for the Bills’ 48–20 win over the Dolphins.
Against Denver, however, Hamlin could see extended action in a pivotal matchup with the veteran Hyde sidelined. The 25-year-old will likely play behind safeties Jordan Poyer and Taylor Rapp in the contest.
A sixth-round pick in 2021, Hamlin has performed well when given an opportunity, with his best play coming last season when he logged 91 tackles in 15 games (13 starts)
