Billie Faiers' husband Greg Shephard gives update on hair transplant after surgery

Greg Shepherd, the husband of reality star Billie Faiers, has given the latest update on his hair transplant just weeks after surgery.

The 36-year-old took to his social media to issue the update where he showed fans the condition of the healing process which has just take a couple of weeks.

Showing off his new look on Instagram story, Greg told fans the back of his head had pretty much healed and the scabs from the front were beginning to go.

He started off the clip by saying: "So the back of my head is completely healed, that healed within like a week of having it done, look how much hair has grown already at the back, you can't even see where I've had it done."

Greg then went on to point at the areas where he'd had the procedure at the front of his head.

He added: "The scabs have basically gone now, the scabs last probably about two weeks then they start washing them out and that's what I'm sort of in the process of doing that at the moment.

"What happens now is the hair where you've had it transplanted it falls out in the next week or so, and then it comes back and grows through really strong but that's where I'm nearly at with it all."

Greg then joked that he hoped he'd have a 'ponytail by the summer'.

The TV star had his transplant just a few weeks ago and posted to his Instagram page to explain the procedure he'd had.

He went to KSL Clinic for the surgery, which many other celebs have visited before as well.

Explaining why he had hair transplant, Greg joked in a video: "I looked at my father who is bald completely here and thought you do not want to look like your dad! So I've come to KSL to save me from that."

Greg said he first started being concerned about his hair when he shaved his head for charity back in 2019, where he managed to raise £42,000.

He said: "I recently had to shave my head for a charity event, and realised I was going bald. It took a lot longer for the hair on the top of my head to grow back!"

The procedure took around six or seven hours according to the star as well as being 95% painless.

He went on to encourage anyone who was in a similar position to have a hair transplant themselves.

Friends and fans took to the comments to applaud Greg for getting it done.

One person said: "I am so proud of you Greg. You’re so honest and upfront about it all. These things don’t have to be a secret. Xxx"

While another added: "Great to share this as so many suffer with it and be proud to share the process too ignore any spiteful comments bro."

A third commented: "Good for you Greg!"
