Billie Eilish has split from her boyfriend Matthew Tyler Vorce amid rumours that he had cheated on her.
Actor Matthew, 30, confirmed the new in a post on Instagram that their relationship had come to an end but categorically denied being unfaithful to the 20-year-old singer.
Confirming the break-up, he wrote on his Instagram Story: “Nobody cheated on anyone.
“Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumours and LYING on the internet is dangerous.”
Matthew, who appeared in the TV movie Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? and was also in a short film called The Curse of Frank Sinatra, went on to hit back at some of Billie's fans who began trolling him following the news of their split.
“The fact that thousands of people take time out of their day to write the most heinous things on someone they will never know posts is the most cowardly thing you can do. Live your own life,” he blasted.
The Bad Guy hitmaker was first rumoured to be courting Matthew when they were spotted hanging out last spring.
Rumours swirled as the pair enjoyed a string of romantic dates and Billie’s fans speculated that Matthew was the ‘secret boyfriend’ she mentioned in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.
It’s not known how the pair initially met, but both stars are from and based in Los Angeles.
The duo mostly managed to keep their relationship private but that didn’t stop Matthew being embroiled in a race row after a number of his past tweets resurfaced on social media.
Last June, he was slammed by Billie’s die-hard fanbase after his tweets from a number of years ago saw him use slurs against Asian, Black and LGBTQ+ people, as well as women.
Screenshots of the alleged tweets surfaced showing the actor being accused of using the ‘N’ word while also referring to homosexual men as ‘f**s’.
In another tweet from 2012, Matthew appeared to make a savage swipe at singing sensation Adele as he refers to her as a ‘British Miss Piggy’.
